If life isn&#8217;t going to <em>give <\/em>me a silver lining for all the recent not so fab news, I&#8217;m going to make my own.\u00a0 So instead of making a list of all the things that have not gone the way I would have planned them, here is a list of some of the wonderful things I am thankful for in my life.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-296\" href=\"http:\/\/amyalphin.com\/?attachment_id=296\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-296\" title=\"(1 of 1)\" src=\"http:\/\/amyalphin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/1-of-1-600x399.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"http:\/\/amyalphin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/1-of-1-600x399.jpg 600w, http:\/\/amyalphin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/1-of-1-300x199.jpg 300w, http:\/\/amyalphin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/1-of-1.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll start with bacon.\u00a0 &#8216;Cause really, bacon is pretty damn wonderful.\u00a0 And since you shouldn&#8217;t just eat bacon, we&#8217;ll add all the other fun, messy and tasty cooking I&#8217;ve been trying my hand at recently.\u00a0 It&#8217;s been really satisifying to make things that people actually <em>want <\/em>to eat AND that they think are tasty!<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-301\" href=\"http:\/\/amyalphin.com\/?attachment_id=301\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-301\" title=\"(1 of 1)-2\" src=\"http:\/\/amyalphin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/1-of-1-2-600x399.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"http:\/\/amyalphin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/1-of-1-2-600x399.jpg 600w, http:\/\/amyalphin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/1-of-1-2-300x199.jpg 300w, http:\/\/amyalphin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/1-of-1-2.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I also think that mountains are pretty amazing.\u00a0 I love where we live and all the wonderful things we do here out in nature.\u00a0 We are so lucky to get to enjoy scenes like this all the time.\u00a0 This particular beauty is Mt. We are so lucky that we have both the means and the time to adventure to interesting places so frequently.\u00a0 Last year we traveled to Hawaii, Ireland, Scotland and England.\u00a0 This year we&#8217;re slated to explore three national parks in Utah, (Arches, Canyonlands and Capitol Reef), and hopefully to travel down under to New Zealand around the holidays.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: parents two siblings and several cousins, we have more love than we know what to do with.\u00a0 And while we are saddened by the recent loss of my Uncle Wayne, his memory lives on, and we rejoice in
